AnswrForge

Website content

Build a library of your own web pages that AnswrForge recommendations use as evidence.

What the library is for

Website content is a saved library of pages from your own website, such as product pages, documentation, pricing and help content. You'll find it under Recommendations in the project menu.

Recommendations check their suggestions against these saved pages and quote them under Your website says. Until usable content is saved, they show Waiting for website content.

Quotes come from the saved copy, so the live page may differ. When a saved page changes, recommendations that relied on it are reviewed again.

Before you start

AnswrForge only reads pages on your brand website and its subdomains. If none is set, you'll see Set your brand website first; select Open Brand settings and add your Primary domain.

Scanning, adding and excluding pages need edit access to the project.

Scan your website

  1. 1Open Website content and select Scan website.
  2. 2Follow progress under Reading your website. You can leave the page; the scan continues in the background.
  3. 3Later, select Scan for new pages to scan again.

A scan has limits. If it reaches one, you'll see that there may be more useful pages, which you can add by URL.

Add specific pages

  1. 1Select Add URLs.
  2. 2Paste addresses under URLs — one per line. Only pages on your domain or its subdomains are accepted.
  3. 3Select Add pages. Any URL that couldn't be added stays in the box with a reason, so you can fix it.

You can add up to 100 URLs per project, within your workspace page allowance. Adding reads just those pages, without scanning the whole site.

Page statuses

  • Waiting or Reading: the page is queued or being read.
  • Saved: a copy is stored and ready to use.
  • Couldn’t read: no copy could be saved; the reason appears under the status. Find these under Pages needing attention.
  • Update failed: the latest refresh failed, but the last saved copy is kept.
  • Excluded: you removed the page. Skipped: the scan left it out, for example a navigation page or one the site doesn't allow us to read.

Keep the library tidy

Saved pages refresh weekly; use the settings menu to Pause weekly updates. Each page's menu offers Update now (or Try again after a failure) and Exclude page.

Excluding stops AnswrForge using and refreshing a page, and later scans keep it excluded. To undo it, open Excluded and skipped pages and select Restore page. Skipped pages that can be read show Add page.

The counter shows how many pages your workspace uses of its allowance. When it's full, exclude unused pages or contact AnswrForge support.
