Connect an AI assistant

What a connected assistant can do

Connect an AI assistant, such as Claude or ChatGPT, and ask it about your AnswrForge projects in plain language.

• Read your overview, trends, prompt and competitor performance, cited sources and saved answers.
• Read your prompts, check schedules, runs, recommendations and website content.
• With Read and change access: add and edit prompts, turn prompts or providers on and off, create and rename groups, change check frequency, and update recommendations or answer their questions.

What it cannot do

An assistant never gets more access than you have in your workspaces. With Read only, it can only read.

It cannot start checks, delete or archive anything, or manage people.

Find your AnswrForge address

1. 1Open the Account menu (your photo or initials) and choose Account settings.
2. 2Open the Connected apps tab.
3. 3If nothing is connected yet, select Copy command. The web address at the end of the command is your AnswrForge address.

No Connected apps tab? Assistant connections are not turned on for you yet. Contact AnswrForge support.

Add AnswrForge to your assistant

You never copy a password or token.

• Claude Code: run the copied command, then run /mcp in Claude Code and follow the steps in your browser.
• Claude (web or desktop): go to Customize, then Connectors, choose Add custom connector and paste the address. It then also works in the mobile apps. On Team and Enterprise plans, an organization owner adds it first.
• ChatGPT: add a custom MCP server with the same address, if your ChatGPT plan and workspace allow it.
• Other assistants: enter the same address in their MCP settings.

Approve the connection

1. 1Your assistant opens AnswrForge in your browser. Sign in if asked.
2. 2On Connect an assistant, check the assistant's name, whether it is verified, and Access goes to.
3. 3Under Access, choose Read and change or Read only.
4. 4Select Allow. AnswrForge returns you to your assistant.

If the page says the request has expired, start again from your assistant.

See or disconnect assistants

Connected apps lists each assistant, its access level, and when it was connected and last used. Select Disconnect to end its access at once.

Keep your account secure

1. 1Select Set up two-factor authentication, enter your current password and select Continue.
2. 2Scan the QR code with your authenticator app, or enter the manual key.
3. 3Within five minutes, enter the six-digit code and select Confirm authenticator setup.

In Account settings → Security you can change your password, turn on two-factor authentication or Sign out all devices. Each change asks for your current password and signs out all your devices.
